Dumping Black Water

Quick question before I dump the black water. I have the hose to hook up from the RV to the dump station and I understand the concept of dumping the black water first and then the grey water to assist in rinsing out the hose, but what do I do with the hose after that? I would still think it would be too dirty to put back in the box it came in and since I have a toyhauler there is no way to get one of those bumper storage PVC pipes for the hose, plus I think there is an L connector at the end of the Walmart hose I bought and it would not go all the way into a PVC pipe.

2 things.

1) Sometimes there is a hose nearbly (NOT a potable water hose). I would take that and spray it down the hose just as you are disconnecting it from the fitting.

2) Look into a black tank flush. I ended up with the Tornado brand. Works absolutely as designed. Simply hook up a hose to a fitting, turn the water on just as the tank is about empty. This device spins around inside the tank spraying fresh water to just about totally clean it out. Don't be fooled by the clear plastic elbows that attach to your outlet. All they do is force water back up into the tank, which I suppose it better than nothing, but no where near as through as the tornado.

I do this and then while wearing disposable gloves I compress the hose back to its shortest length, this gets rid of most of the water that is in it. Then I stick it in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. Then once at home open the bucket up to allow the hose and bucket to dry out.

My son suggested adding a little bleach into the bucket to help kill off bacteria while it is sealed.

Doing the nasty SUCKS!!!!!!! I just wash it out good after the brown water dumping and put it back in the PVC holder under the goose neck. What a waste to buy a new one everytime. You wipe your kids butt, ain't no different.

Is this a joke? I don't care how isolated the road, if you really do this it is illegal and just plain sick and wrong.

I've trickled some gray water (from the wife washing the dishes TOO much), but dumping your black other than where it belongs is just nasty.

There is a water source by the dumping station I use most, so I begin by opening the drain on the black tank and letting that dump while I hook up my garden hose and little wand.

By the time I've got the little wand hooked up the black tank has pretty much drained, so I put the wand down the throne, turn it on and sling it around a little to rinse out any residuals....

Then with the wand still running, I'll close the black dump, and dump the gray water, and while that drains I'll sling the wand around as the black tank fills with rinse water.

When it's full, I close the gray dump and drain the water out of the black tank. If I'm putting up for the season I'll also fill the gray tank with rinse water and dump it.

Then I use the hose to clean up the sewer hose. If you kind of roll it while running water down it and spray off the outside you can get it pretty clean. (Though I wouldn't go licking it or anything).

I also always put some disinfectant hand soap outside before starting, so I can avoid touching tap handles or anything else inside with with dirty hands or gloves.

Also, one of the features I like about my toyhauler is a trap door storage compartment under the garage floor, which is a good place to keep dirty things. Maybe you could install a storage box, action packer or something, specifically to keep sewage related stuff seperate...

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies. I guess it will just depend on if I have a water source available at the dump site or not. One thing is clear...I will definitely have to get a small storage bin or 5 gal. bucket to place the hose in until I can get to a water source if one is not immediately available.

What if you just eat tofu and use the hemp toilet paper...is it still sick and wrong to poop on the ground then?
