Cb Export Radio Question

I need a radio and I am trying to decide if I should get a Galaxy 959 or spend the extra money for a General Lee. What do you guys think. Thanks

From what I've read the Galaxy is a really good radio... it should work fine for you... just don't forget to get some good antennas.

A little drift off freq with the galaxy, when you do lotsa talking in a chunk, other than that good radio.
I've got an old president Grant works good.
I think ranger is making it without the AM Function now,its a Ranger 33 I think...

Export Radio

I have the Galaxy with a Palomar 225amp & am quite satisfied with it. It has a great selection of features for the price. Even without an amp, you can buy the radio "peaked & tweaked" and it will really scream with a good antenna. Warning, CB's can be alot like bombing trucks once you start climbing the power ladder.

If you have the money, go with the gen lee or a ranger...i would prefer a ranger over them all but they are all good radios

I would get a Ranger 6900 or a Connex 4800DXL.

I got a superwackpacked General Lee radio from Radio active radios, this thing is one loud talkin radio. It swings about 60 watts on high power. I give my buddy a S 5 on his meter and he lives over 25 miles away and that is on his mobile. Most important thing is a good quality antenna, like a wilson 1000 or 5000 or a predator 10K. Stay away from the fiberglass whips, they are marginal at best. Look into radioacitveradios.com, they will hook you up with a killer sounding radio

I had a friend with a Galaxy 55v which is a 10 meter radio and its only about $170 if I can remember correct. Works great, no trouble with it at all.
