Brake controller location
Those of you with third gens, where did you end up placing your brake controller and has it worked well there?
Not sure if there is any difference from my 04.5 & earlier models... but I'm thinking of mounting my Prodigy where the ash tray is.
Saw some pictures where one of the DTR members pulled the tray & door out and then mounted it there. Seems to be the best way to go...(no one smokes in my vehicle anyway!).
Little concerned about mounting it below the steering wheel as that is a crash pad area and could take part of your knee cap off in the event of an accident!!!
Any tips?
Thanks, Dan

Take a look at my members pictures. This is where most of us mount the controller.
I had the Prodigy mounted there prior to the Jordan.
Both are the best in the business. They both have there own ups and downs.
I have the Prodigy as my backup, just incase.

I have my prodigy right in front of my right leg just below my knee. It's to the left of the ashtray. I like the accessability of the manual control. I only feel it if I move the seat way forward. For reference, I'm about 6' and drive closer to the steering wheel than most.

Well... have a friend (Who is now in charge of the local County Coroner office) who is always reminding me:
"He with the most lug nuts, always wins!"
None the less, I prefer to keep my kneecaps where they belong, have enough problems with my back that the doctors haven't proved to be much help with!!!

I have mine mounted to a factory screw under the lip of the knee bolster just above the throttle pedal.

I allready have a bad knee, don't need more damage to this old body. Also was concerned that the angle of the controller on steep grades could effect operation, when you need it most.
