Just a suggestion - - lean the other way and look at a Jordan Ultima. You will love it a lot more than a Prodigy. Much smoother controller. Those of us who have used both much prefer the Jordan.

Brake Controller Connections

How does the jordan brake controller tie in to the wireing? is there an adapter to just plug in or do you have to get the right unit?

I will be installing this on an 04 shortbox 4x4 laramie quadcab 2500 auto.

any sugestions or comments from those in the know will be greatly appreciated.

The jordan mounts goes to the power, ground, and brake wire (blue) but does not use the brake pedal sense wire. Instead it uses a cable that actually actuates the brakes in proportion with how you go on the brake pedal.

Mike, we are all assuming you have the factory plug for the truck - - are we correct??? If not, see your friendly Dodge dealer. You will wire that up to the controller following the directions and plug the result into the socket under the dash. Let us know if you need help.

I had a difficult time deciding where to put a brake controller in my 05 Dodge truck. Actually, I have a difficult time finding a space to put any type of accessory in these new units. I positioned the controller unit on its side and screwed its mounting bracket to the driver's side of the plastic centre console that is situated in front of the manual tranny gear shift lever. The controller unit sits low, but far enough away from the fuel feed petal that my right foot never strikes it. In my GMC gas job I attached the controller on the left side of the steering column under the edge of the dash. The new Dodge dash is different to work with, but it came with a good long controller adapter wiring harness and plug. The adaptor plug's mate in my truck wiring harness was tucked so far way back and up under the dash that it was somewhat difficult to find on the left side. I need my right hand free to shift gears; therefore, I can also ajust the controller with my free right hand for different trailers.
