B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch and SHORT BED...

B&W Companion 5th Wheel hitch and SHORT BED...
Anyone pulling a 5th wheel with their short bed using the B&W Companion 5th wheel hitch? I can get the turnover ball and Companion hitch for about $750, but not sure if it will work for me without being able to slide. So if you have this setup please chime in and tell me about your experiences. Thanks!

A fellow in our RVing group is pulling an Everest 5th wheel with a 2003 QC short bed using the B&W. Both his rear cab pillars are dented in.

Yeah, I've seen their video. I don't know what to make of it....it certainly looks impressive on a computer screen.
