we put a simliar unit on a trailer for my sister. the problem was it was an older trailer, that did not have the hitch extended out from the trailer. So on a short box it put the trailer to close to the cab. So now its modify the trailer hitch to extend forward. This was on a short box truck. If it would have been a long box there would have been no trouble and they work good. Some guys say warranty on new trailers can be an issue if you use those.

 

I have their pop up goose neck hitch on one of my trucks it works well and I havn't had any problems with it
