Anyone know who makes roof rack boat trailer?

Sorry no pic. Yesterday I saw a California F250 pulling an Airstream tagalong. When I got beside it, I saw my first inside-the-bed boat trailer lift. The boat trailer had a single axle with wheels the size of a golf-cart. I suppose the boat to be 17’ aluminum V-hull with perhaps a 25-30 HP Honda outboard. The trailer appeared to be sitting on a scissor jack lift of some type. The front of the trailer (and boat) extended over the roof and hood to a rack mounted just below the front bumper. Does anyone know if this was a custom build or does someone manufacture trailer lifts for pickups? Nat

I didn't know these existed. Even has them for Suburbans/ Tahoes, and pickups w/shells.
(The pic is from their web page, not the rig I saw from CA. The one I saw had a boat as long as the truck and the trailer was a TT not a 5'er)

A freind at work has a small fabrication shop on his acerage and made a custom carier for a boat. He made it for a retired couple that whent on several month trips. He made it so you hooked the hitch of the boat trailer to a ball mounted on a slide that rode up a small I beam that he arched so it would just clrear the cab. He put a hand crank on the bottome that had a cable and pully system that would pull the slide up the I beam and pull the boat up the ramps into chanels on the bed of the truck.

I hope he got a patent on his "invention". There's obviously a market out there.
