Adjustable Towing Receivers/Ball Mounts
Adjustable Towing Receivers/Ball Mounts
Ok guys, I need buy an adjustable towing receiver/ball mount for my truck.
I am running a Fabtech 4.5" lift kit with 37" tires.....
I need to find an adjustable ball mount, but am not sure what drop length I will need......this will primarily be used for pulling a 20" Deep-V style Lake Michigan fishing boat.
I am looking at the Rapid Hitch aluminum adjustable mounts.
These some in two basic drop sizes:
10" Drop
5 3/4" Drop
Will the 5 3/4" size drop enough to level the trailer out or will I need more?
Any suggestions on what drop I should get?

get your truck on level ground first. measure from the ground up to the bottom of the opening of your hitch reciever. lets call that measurement"A". next, get your trailer on level ground and adjust the tongue hieght with your jack untill it too is level. measure from the ground up to the bottom of where the ball goes into the tongue. lets call that "B". A minus B should be how much of a drop you need to pull your trailer level down the road.
