5th Wheel--Hijacker--on an '03

Anyone have any experience with a Hijacker 5th wheel hitch on an '03 Dodge? I traded my '96 CTD in for the '03 and pulled the hitch out of the '96 figuring I could get some new mounts and use the same hitch and rails. After doing a little research D/C doesn't recommend punching any holes in the frame and the mounts Hijacker makes for the '03 look a little flakey, especially the one's for the rear rails. I know Reese, Drawtite and Pullrite all make a 5'er hitch for the '03, but I'd rather not buy a new one. What was D/C thinking ???. I don't know to many people that get a turbo-diesel to drive to the grocery store. BTW the '03 rules ;D

Dodge does provide guidelines for drilling the frame although I still chose to go the no drill route with a Pullrite hitch. I sold the Hijacker I had for my 97 and put it toward the cost of the Pullrite. You should first check with Hijacker regarding brackets for the 03 frame. If you pm me with your email address I will send you the Dodge memo regarding the drilling guidelines. It is a PDF file. Good luck. Casey
