Buy used. You will get such a better deal on one around 3 years old. I bought an 07 and now it's for sale. I'm taking a loss but someone's gonna get a good deal. Probably 30% less than what you would pay new.

I'm another Carraige fan. Great craftsmanship on the RV.

You will get way more for you money witha 3-5 yr old trailer. They will be like new and 30-50% less than what you will pay. A good place to shop on line is pplmotorhomes.com . They have all models, floor plans, pics, etc. At least you will get a good idea of what he market is and what can be had for the money. Many times a 3 year old rig will have less wrong than a new one.
Also, do a search here & RV.net on what to look for, contsruction wise. Size of frame, aluminum walls vs wood, 50 amps/2 ACs for warm climates, elevtric vs hydraulic slides and jacks, etc. The list goes on forever. Do your homework and you should be pleased!
The more expensive rigs tend to be better made and used by full timers. Many of thse are now out of business with this recession. Carriage is still around. Teton, Alpha, Newmar, HitchHiker/Nuway, etc. Some of these are still around.
Good luck on your search!
