The trophy, well it's made out of something that has been around here, had lots of them come through the portals of my garage before there time was done. More or less a piece of Shawnford and Son's scrap yard refurbished into something better!! Thanks Robert, now I got the music in my head.......

Gump,

Smyrna is southeast of Nashville down I-24 towards Chattanooga. Maybe 15 -25 miles out of Nashville? If you get to Murfreesboro you've gone to far. Not sure of the zip code actually, it's where the Nissan plant is located. The dyno is actually just up the road from the Nissan plant.

I'm gonna try and make this a March meeting for us also there Dodgeguy. Hope to have my junk running again with a new built head, studs, and II-stage2 cp3. Should crack 600+ if all goes well next couple days and my piston/cylinder walls in #4 are good and all I need is head work.

Hey Skinny, I have it on good authority that there is another 1stgenner in the Memphis area. Always nice to see someone else can appreciate a "REAL TRUCK". Anyway you are always welcome to join up with us (MSDTR# 31). Officially or unofficially. We usually have our meets in the Memphis area.

hey both skinny and 1stgen... you guys need to show up to our dyno day, I tired of being the only "real truck" driver there. Granted, i have 3 and if I could get all the people in town i've sold 1st gens to to show (4 more) we'd have a pretty good showing, lol. but that's not gonna happen, so come on out!

Got the final time for the dyno. with 13 people running their trucks lets get everyone there around 8:30-9:00am. We'll start at 9am. I won't be running, got to convert my truck to a flatbed dually, if I bring it you'll see why.

I not only wrecked the box, I ruined the box!! Right behind the driver door is pushed in about 10 inches and almost flat!! That's alright, ya'll will see it on Saturday. After that I'm getting a new truck. Got a line on a red 1 ton with a brand new flatbed with skirted sides and tool boxes, brand new American racing wheels(like the alcoa classics) and brand new General grabber at2 all the way around.

The VP 44 is only about a year old, has a power puck. Yep, getting a new truck!! You guys won't even recognize me anymore. Guess I'll be the only flatbed at our meets unless Deereguy brings his up. No more body shop guys, dents and dings on the bed can be fixed with a mig welder and a can of black rustoleum!! I'm done with "regular" beds. What a hassle!!

I'm gonna buy my draw straw and hose to put in while the red bed is off, anybody want to help install my new bed!!!! Think Roberts was heavy!!

That's cool Shawn, I have always liked the looks of flatbeds!! I am more than willing to help you, just holler at me and I will come down and give you a hand. Hey, I saw you on the highway one day last week heading into work. You were towing a trailer with i think your toolbox?? You wouldn't have recognized me though, I was in my dailey driver.
