What moderators do for fun?

Dear mods:

Ever have the desire to just slightly change somebody's post, just by dropping a letter or word somewhere, in order to screw with them or make their post say something totally different?

Ever actually done it?

(Insomnia-Bosnia... )

P.S. I would like to give each and every admin $100 and a Scotty Air filter and performance module of their choosing. - jrs_dodge_diesel

Nope, can't say that I've ever changed a post to be funny.

Cant say that I’ve ever encountered the desire to "screw with somebody’s post".
We modify posts all the time to correct spelling and to remove site violations. But that is what we do.
Id have to guess that this is a terminal question as if a person had the mind set to deviantly "screw with somebody’s post", they probably wouldn’t have been chosen to be mod in the first place.

Rich.
Rich hit the nail on the head, Maturity is one of the things I look for when choosing a moderator. The truth is that we have far too many posts to deal with to really have anytime for "horse play".

Having said that, I have considered finding a picture of a petite pink poodle and swapping it for Jack's avatar

Thankfully I didn't have any coffee in my mouth. I don't think that would have been good for the laptop...

And that is a great idea.

And who was it that changed the post title to "Hi. my name is Fred and I'm a troll with a Duramax"? because that was the funniest thing I have ever seen on here.

"Hi. my name is Fred and I'm a troll with a Duramax"? HA!

After reading that, I 'bout lost it all over the place. That is the funniest things I've read since yesterday!

There is a pink poodle on here you could use. If I could just cut and paste the picture I would, but I'm not going to put a pink poodle in MY photo gallery! Someone might see it and not read this link and think I actually drive a Duramax.
