viewing classifieds.

When I view the classifieds, they are always sorted by "Most Views". I like them sorted by "Most Recent" because I want to see whats new. So I have to make it re-sort every time which takes time. This poses a problem for users with a slow connection. I mean, the less restrictions the better when you have a slow connection,,,right?

Can I reset my browser to view the most recent ads everytime i open the classifieds? Or am I stuck?

Does this bother anyone else?

I hate to be a whinner, but re-sorting evertime is starting to get old.

later..

I would think it should default to most recent too, but I don't mind THAT much, I have cable..

But, since I saw the topic, figured I'd toss in my $.02

I've looked at it a little and so far, I don't see where we can change that. Jack can probably give you better input because he understands this software stuff better than I ever could, however I think that this software is sort of pre-packaged in a basic template type setup and so far I haven't been able to see where this particular option can be changed. Maybe Jack will chime in when he has a chance.

I'm a mod on a vbulletin board somewhat similar to this... it's amazing what can be done, but you have to go into the code to do it. Our 'web-daddy' does stuff like that alot..

For example, the user cp/register/calendar buttons up top... he changes it so "home" is the first button, because I keep hitting the admin page by mistake...

'Course, we don't have a classified section like you all do, so I can't speak for that option definitively, but I'd betcha $.25 that it could be changed.. WHERE to change it is another story.

You may be correct Eskimo,,,,,,,,,,
But I only know enough about this stuff to be Dangerous!
Jack does all the heavy webmaster stuff and I would hate to have him come looking for me when I hit the wrong button and wiped the site out!
