Re:tryingto udate profile
do u mean u need an entirely different password or u just have to reenter the same one each time u access the site?
if the latter is the problem, there should be an option there that will keep u signed in and will eliminate that part of the problem.
regardless, each time u want to edit your profile u have to reenter your password

I think the web server may have a feature that locks things up when there aren't enough spaces between words/passwords; or punctuation is non-existent.

There are two password boxes on the profile page.
The one at the top under your name is where you need to type your current password in order to make changes to your profile.
The box at the bottom is only to change your personal password.

Re:tryingto udate profile
What he is trying to say is the same problem that I had. Due to computer problems I had to log back on. The password that I had was no longer valid. The new password gets e-mailed to you and you use it to log on. You then try to update your profile and the password is no longer valid. I finally had to dump all cookies and start over. Even then I had a heck of a time trying to update my profile. I kept getting messages that said "the e-mail address is currently being used by a registered user" or something like that. I finally gave up but somehow it has the right address.

When you ask for a new password, it's good for one login. Although a bit of a pain in the backside, it's done for security reasons. Whenever you ask for a new password via the system, you should immediately go change it in your profile once you're logged in.
Some steps you can take to make the process easier and less painful when requesting a new password.
1. Ask for the new password.
2. Delete all cookies on your computer.
3. Empty your cache (Microsoft likes to call them "temporary internet files"
4. Shut the browser down (just in case you have a page or two in memory).
5. Check your email, retrieve the password.
6. Fire up the browser, go to the login page and use your new password.
7. Head over to your profile and change the password (bottom two lines in your profile) to the new one you desire.
That SHOULD work in 99 percent of the cases.
