Ed you know that is not going to happen, so the burden is on those who will donate. Unfortuante but true. Should be plenty of Kerry campaign posters for the employees. Uhhhh, sorry, I'll have to put that in the other thread.....

Just a thought... why don't you do something like the "bob is the oil guy" site w/ people that donate cash to the site? They have a little icon under their name like the attached image... they also have something similar for site sponsors. Might help to locate sponsors easier and maybe more people will just ask about donating in general...
From another thread on donations, halfway down the page. https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...5&pagenumber=3

I think TPilaske has a good idea with the donor avatars. I think a lot of people who use this site are completely unaware that it costs money to run and that there's not some big company paying the bills. Having donor avatars - hopefully cooler than the one posted - should make it pretty obvious to even a casual user that they should donate without being as obnoxious as an NPR fund drive.

I also think the "Donate" button that used to be at the top of the screen should come back, it should just dump you into the donation page of the DTR store.

No problem, it's a small price for all the info and enjoyment I get from this site. I have saved plenty because of all the great people on this site. Thank You!

Here is what I would like to see somewhere on the site. I got this off a website that says they made it for other people to use for free for fundraising.

The website is http://www.entropyfarm.org/software/thermo/

I put the paypal link back up. That is the best place to put your donations in for us. I'll work on the thermometer thing.

This site has been invalueable to me too. I will gladly make a donation, but I never put my credit card # in my PC. (heard too many horror storys). Do you take checks, and if so who and where do you send it?
