Resorting to Pop Ups Now IB

It's bad enough once IB took over the adds doubled and cluttered the pages up, but I can live with that, nothing is free, but now cheesy pop ups? And somehow they get around my pop up blocker because it only does it when I click on a next button or next page button? So I close the screen and end up closing it all. Knock the crap off IB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't completely ruin this site for a few pennies, I will make it a point to not spend one penny with those adds and sponsor if you keep it up.

Sir:

IB does NOT use "pop-ups" on their websites! I will place your post in our
MODERATOR AREA so their site techs can look into this. For what it is worth, it may be a software issue on your computer so I would check that also.

We have had an ongoing issue with some folks who use advertising methods NOT APPROVED by IB. The most common is the pop up ads you're seeing. Stopping these require the folks in the IT department at IB to deal with them and that is difficult without knowing where to look but they are working on it near daily.

I am sorry you guys are having issues with the "pop-ups."

I have posted the link to this thread in our MODERATOR AREA for Lary and our IB Techs here. Give them a chance to check out this problem and see if we can't stop what is going on with them.

Thanks.

No pop ups here either......sounds like a browser issue to me....What browser are you using?... which anti-virus program you use?...Which anti spyware program do you use?....Have you run Hijackthis to see what if anything has attached itself to your PC?

Been a couple days....just wondering if you were able to get your computer fixed so you don't see any more pop-ups?

No pop ups here... it's something specific to your computer.

Try a different web browser...

Guys...we DO NOT ALLOW Popups on this Forum.....once in a great while a small one called "Voice 5" (a polling one) gets past because of a over zealous ad partner but as soon as it is identified IB shuts it down.

If you are seeing Popups while browsing this site you have issues with your computer you need to address. You Must keep your browser updated to the latest version as well as your Java and Flash player.... doing this closes holes these browser hijackers exploit.

You also need to run anti-virus and anti-spyware as well as do a scan with Hijackthis on a regular basis to be sure you haven't picked up something on the Internet.

If you need help with this stuff, give me a shout I am happy to help

First time I have been on with any time to respond. I had Kasperky and McAfee. 2 separate pc. had same result. Updates were always run on pc, browser and protection software. It only happened at this site. No other websites and once that did either protection software would stop it in it tracks. Scans run regularly. PC is always a possibility but don't think so in this case. Today in my short time surfing and the other day the issue appears to have cleared. Not aware of changes on my end but can't say for certainty. Still thinking IB has fixed something. Maybe they didn't intend for it but it has been problems for other site IB has run. Thanks for the feedback and if something was addressed not need to admit just thanks for making the site better.

Glad to hear things are working better for you

I know they did a lot of checking and on another forum they found something bad that was getting past one of the advertising partners so they made sure it wasn't here either.....don't know if that was what you were experiencing or if it was something else...hard to pinpoint this stuff as you already know

Stay vigilant and check into those free programs I told you about as it takes multiple levels to try and beat these fools that have nothing better to do than wreak havoc on honest folks like you
