pop up ads beware

pop up ads beware

I have been a way for serveral months. I received a popup questionaire
so I answered it and said won a gift and pay shipping.
Go to log away and again a great deal must accept to receive a
Site was attps.www.mygenevawatch.com/ordersas.apx
You get the watch for shipping price and 14 days later you
OWE $88.00 WJHAT RID OFF ONLY OPENED THINKING WE
STILL HAD SAFE SITE. WVPANHANDLER Wayne

The clue is when they say you WON something......Use Firefox I have never seen a pop up here except when I get a PM.

The Pop up is not from DTR, you must have some type of malware on your computer that generated the pop-up. You can turn ALL pop ups off in IE if you want so even if it is a safe site they won't annoy you.

To help get rid of the problem, download Malwarebytes, update it, run a complete scan and cure the issues. Then, download Spybot. This program will guard your registry and make it more difficult for rogue programs to infect your computer. Of course the main thing to keep your computer safe is to be careful where you go and what you do on your computer.

Download the new SuperAntiSpyware free version, I like it better than Spybot now

I would first run a scan with HijackThis, and see if you have any browser hijacks in the midst.

I too like superantispyware. Together with ccleaner, and avast, I've never had an issue.

I also suggest adblock plus, and the element hiding helper for firefox. Sometimes you want the ads though, and it can be disabled on specific pages.
