Picture resolution question.
Picture resolution question.
I have seen alot of pics that people have in their gallery that look really good, with no graininess etc. How are you doing that?
When I take a picture, I set the camera to max resolution (either 5 megapixel or 8 megapixel, depending on which camera). This makes the pics quite large. I then re-size them to conform to the size requirements for posting in the gallery, however, they look grainy and not clear. Would I get clearer pictures if I took the pics at a lower resolution and then did not re-size them?

I use .jpeg format and use Microsoft Photo Editor to resize.

Or.....quit buying cheap cameras.
I took my pic's with a 3.1, then resized them to 600 x what ever it comes out to. Seems to work ok for me.
Are they blury when you look at them while resizing, or just when you post them here. I just resized a pic for my avitar. When I did it, it was all blury in the editing program. I just clicked on the smaller magnifier glass several time's and the pic got smaller and clearer.
