Changing thread titles?

Quick question on how to change thread titles.
I have tried to use the "edit" feature to edit a thread title before, however when I edit the title of the thread, the changes do not appear (the thread still has the original title on the forum view). However, when you go visit the thread, the changes show up in the posts.
Is there a way to let us simple folk (that can't spell) edit thread titles and have the changes show up in the thread list?

Thanks,
~Rob

No sir, there is no way for a user to edit the thread title. Only an Administrator can do so.

Wish I could be of more help other than to say it's not possible, but the software is what it is. I wish it were different, actually, because sometimes I forget to change the thread name if I'm changing the subject line of a post or multiple posts.
