Photo upload

Trying to upload picture to my gallery. Same type photo from same camera as all other pictures but keep getting this...

"There were 1 files which exceeded limits which do not appear in this list:
UTE_Bullbar_1_12_07_04.jpg (exceeds filesize limit).
Either remove files to make more room or reduce the size of the files you are uploading and then try againo upload a picture to my gallery..."

Still lots of room in my gallery? Don't understand problem or how to correct.
Thanks RJ

rjohnson,
It looks like the file you are trying to upload is too big.
You can use some kind of photo editor to downsize the photo.

Let me know if you need more help.

Thanks
Rich.

Use the "Paint" program in Windows to check and resize pics. It's quick and easy...............

Paint will work.
Also, if you have MS Office, it has an additional package called MS Photo Editor.
This works well for resizing images.
If you dont use MS Office, the there are apps like PhotoShop and many others that can resize an image.

As to how two images can be different would be a question of the camera, software (of both the camera and the PC).

Rich.

Thanks Guys

I use Office a lot, but it's Office 98....no photo Editor. Did find Paint. Never played with this program before...really cool. Will see if I can make it work.

I have yet to see a digital camera that doesn't come with some form of photo editor.
Sometimes a chopped down version of photoshop.

Usually they come with some photo organizing software as well, and most of these will also allow you to resize pics.

Thanks again Guys

All my problems are operator inadequacies, not the equipment. Bgt. this digital Kodak camera for my daughter and have never taken the time, when I can get my hands on it, to master it. No excuse...but I do come from the Brownie generation... I'm old enough to remember when you had to get up to change the channel.
Great web site...not just CTD info!

I'm old enough to remember when there wasn't any television. The first one I remember was was back in the 50's. It had about a 5 inch screen with a magnifying glass in front of it to make the picture larger. The first color tv I seen was in Kalifornia in 1962. Some of would go to a buddies house on Sunday night and watch Bonanza. It was one of the first color broadcast.

I also have a Kodak and really like it. If you or your daughter haven't already, download the Kodak "Easy Share" software. It's free and easy to use.
