Hey, how do I put a logo by my name in the left hand column like the spinning ram or a flag?

 

Click on at the top of the page.
That will take you to your profile's control panel.
Click on the link that says "Edit Options" at the top of the page.
On the "Edit Options" page, scroll to the bottom where you will see "Avatar".
There's a link for "More Info" where all the Avatars are listed.

Click on "user cp" button up above.

Then click on "edit options", at the very bottom of that page is "Avatar"
Click on "change avatar" then pick which one you want then "Submit Modifications"

Those are the only Avatars currently available.
Maybe some day, after server upgrades, there will either be more to choose from,
or the ability to upload your own, but for now, those are all we have.
