Question useing copyrighted logos

Is it legal to use the cummins logo to press on to tee shirts??
Ive been making shirts for my boys with holset and other diesel logos for 2 years now.

Im thinking of doing a set with the DTR banner on them is that legal??

Ive seen on the web many tee shirt companys who are useing registered trademarks and I know they dont have permission from the companys.

Ive never sold the tee's I make I have gave a few away at truck pulls to the kids that had pulling dads they had a cummins logo on them and it said MY DAD PULLS A CUMMINS on the back in cool writing . am I allowed to give them away is that legal...........or is it when you sell them your breaking the law???

you may be able to get some nice discounts from the vendors you are advertising for, I think you are on the right track, selling would be illegal, and using in a deragatory manor would be grounds for thm to get ******, but advertising their brand for free? they should hook you up!

Using the DTR logo is ILLEGAL without written permission from Jack or myself. Any duplication or copying of a copyrighted logo or emblem is illegal. Even if you are just giving the stuff away.

If your intent is to make the payment's on a Lawyers new beach house for him, then it might be a good idea

Concerning copyrighted logos; Even if you're giving them away to a children's home, the copyright owner has the right to protect his image. He can burn you a blister.

Right now we are not allowing duplication of our logo, except for the Chapter logos, for OFFICIAL chapter business only.

Are shirts and stuff still available at that cafepress.com place?

If not, any idea when they will be available from the DTR store?

What do you think they will do, NOTHING, The only group that aggressively protects thier copyright is the Hells Angels (I may get sued just for writing it).

Look at what happened with the recording industry law suits, they settled out of court and the payment was they had to do a public service message.

It costs way too much to pursue tiny copyright violations, just to serve you with the papers, they would have pay more than thier losses in your case. I dont think your danger of loosing your house over a couple of t-shirts.
