How Do We Mark Threads As Read

Prior to the change there was an icon at the bottom to mark all threads read. Is this option still here someplace?

It's automatic now. You don't need to mark a thread as read any longer. Once you click it, it'll show it as read.

Ya but I don't read all of them, but if I mark them all as read then the Icon on the main page let's me know if there has been anything new added to that section.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you don't read all of them, then those particular threads will not show up as being read. If you want to mark posts as read, you can do it from the bottom of the front forum page.

That's what I was looking for, Thanks. It used to be at the bottom of each section and made it nice for just scanning through and finding the new posts quick

If you click on "forum tools", a drop down menu appears with "mark forum read".

I didn't get an answer on another thread, so I'll try here.

I'm geting email notices when replys are posted on every thread I look at. How do you get notices fo ONLY the threads you want and not all of them?

Go to "User CP", then on the left side down towards the bottom, there'll be a "list subscriptions", make sure you didn't accidentaly subscribe to something.

Then you can check "Edit Options", there will be a box under "Messaging & Notification ", it might be set to automatically subscribe you to every thread you post in.

Default Thread Subscription Mode:
When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread.
Default Thread Subscription Mode:
Do not subscribe
No email notification
Instant email notification
Daily email notification
Weekly email notification

Make sure "Do Not Subscribe" is highlited.

If you can't find User CP, it is under the banner ad and DTR Performance Shop link towards the top 3rd of every page.

I'd also still like to request that the "mark all threads as read button" be put at the bottom of each section instead of only at the main page if it's possible. I know it's minor but it really speeds up the scanning threads for only what your interested in.

Make sure the Do Not Subscribe is displayed in the Thread Subscription box located at the bottom of the page when you click on the submit button.
I notice that sometimes when I use my scroll wheel, I make inadvertant changes in those pull-down choice boxes.

At the very top of each page, there's a Quick Links option. Click that and you'll find a "Mark Forum's Read". This will mark the entire site as being read on your system.

Thanks Tom, although what you mentioned wasn't what I was looking for it got me thinking in the right direction and I found what I wanted. I didn't want to mark the whole board as read just the individual forms I was in and I found that under the "Forums tools" tab.
