I agree... Some of these C.L. finds I feel would be better to make it into an enthusiasts hands rather than a $1500 W250 being bought by a contractor and beaten to its grave.

Thanks guys!

Guys, please read this:

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...d-t250836.html

We do not allow CL or Ebay ads on the forum.

The advertizing policy sez its unfair to the advertizers who support the webpage to allow CL or Ebay ads. I don't agree. Your advertizers don't sell the (typically used) items linked on CL. Yes, on Ebay there are some new items, but on Craigslist? Could you perhaps narrow it down to just the items in direct competition with the advertizers? I'm pretty sure none of them have a 93 D350 with a dead tranny, but they DO sell trannys! Seems like the tail wagging the dog to me.... H.

I like to argue as much as the next guy... as i previously saw/thought dono what came first... If your dead set on passing on good deals....
Copy the picture to your host site, copy the information except for C.L. information and create your own thread with the information. If you can get the persons e-mail i'm sure you can put that on here... except it may be some sort of here say kind of deal.
Or... i like this the best :-D
reply to the C.L add and tell them to joing this website and post their item in the classifieds :-P wouldn't that solve the problem?

NO ADS of ANY kind allowed in the forums except for sponsoring vendors.

Here's the deal...

Say you were advertising here for anything... and paying a good amount of money for it (remember, sponsors pay for the DTR to be free site), and someone else was getting free advertising, not even a member of the site. Who cares who it is, an ad is an ad.

How would you feel?

Personally, if the ad was for a product that I didn't sell I wouldn't mind in all honesty. That being said, I understand why you don't allow ads of any type, and I agree with your reasoning, as I'm sure many paying sponsors would be upset.

The way I see it, if the person needs what he is looking for enough (whether it be a whole truck, a tranny, or gauges) he'll more than likely search eBay, or Craigslist for hours on end, and he'll usually find what he wants, so there is no need to post it on the forum.

I'd also like to thank all the admins for keeping this site as nice as it is. People seem to be much more respectful here than a couple of other sites I go to. So, thanks everybody.
