Quad door

My 99 Ram 2500 passenger side rear door won't open. There is nothing stuck in it that I can see. Have any of you had that problem?

375H&H,
The link littlebuddie gave you will be a big help.I just went thru this with my driver's side rear door.My door was stuck shut. The top latch would release but the bottom wouldn't.I had to block the door release open while I tapped the latch open with a narrow punch.I lubed the latch and freed it up but was not happy with it so I got a new one.Not cheap-$90 at the dealer.Hope you have better luck.

i removed the screws from the plastic handle of the rear door, and got at the connecting rod for the lower latch to open the door.once the door was open i removed the door panel trim to get at the guts. i had to give the connecting rod for the lower latch about a 1/4 turn to take up the slack that was causing it to not open.the yellow plastic push pins or what ever they are called took a beating on removing the inner panel and i need to replace them.they look to me like a one time deal anyway.hope this helps.

Order the christmas tree clips from Fastenal or clipsandfasteners.com. Dealer wants $2.80 each.

DieselNomad: could you get it working by the adjustment of the rod or was something broken/worn out? Thanks.

i believe it was some kind of clip.popped the rod out and moved it to the next notch,to take the slack out of the rod.was only about a 1/4" of slack.when you get the panel off there is some plastic over the holes in the door panel.i cut this out as it is all plane to see the mechanism in the door.
