I bought my truck down in Texas this spring and want to keep it RUST FREE for as long as possible. Right now, its fine, not a hint of rust ANYWHERE.. So I want to keep it that way.

Up here we get even 99 and newer vehicles rusting ON THE PAINT, and of course the frame.

I just recently got rid of my front seal leak that was leaking a TON of oil.. So now I KNOW it will be rusting soon

I was quoted $299 for rust proofing, which includes undercoating and sound deadener in the cab door panels.
They'd also do the rocker panels for around or under $400.. With Line-X.. Does the Line-X liner get the chalkly WHITE look that some of them get?

What do you guys think?

I dunno if there's such a thing as rust- PROOF, mostly just rust resistant. You can slow it to a crawl, but you cannot completely prevent rust.

The best product I've found isn't POR-15 or Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator.

It's something called Rust Bullet.
