Yet another shock question

I know that this question has probably been beat to death but i am looking into buying new shocks soon. I am wondering if I should go with the Ranch 9000's or if the 5000's are fine. Right now my truck goes through shocks so quick and I am on a bit of a budget. Don't get me wrong I am not trying to take the cheap way out. Is there any better shocks out there for about the same money or should I stick with the Rancho's. Thanks for any info.

My money is on the Rancho 9000's. The old story, you get what you pay for.

Get the 9000's if your going to get Ranchos. I hear that Bilsteins are really good too...

I never had any luck with the RS 5000's, they suck. I would go for the RSX or maybe the RS 9000X. They do come with a lifetime warrenty.

Re:Yet another shock question

I have the 5000's. Way better than factory shocks.

You do get what you pay for. But for me the 9000 were twice the price. I ain't going to be crawling under the truck all the time to adjust shocks. So the cost isn't justified for me.

Re:Yet another shock question

Something to think about. Adjustable shocks such as the Rancho 9000's in the majority of cases are not going to adjusted on a daily basis and maybe not even every month. In cab remotes to adjust them are expensive and prone to leaks.
The Rancho's on my truck are easy to adjust. The fronts can be adjusted from over the front wheel. The rears can also be easily adjusted but it does mean reaching way under the truck. No crawling necesary but one must go under the truck a little. I can adjust all four in less than two minutes taking my time.
Remember on installation to make sure the adjusting **** is positioned correctly.
I waited for Rancho to have a sale. Four shocks for the price of three. That way they are not too pricey.

Thanks for the advice. I am going to go with the 9000's. It sounds like everyone is very pleased with them. Thanks again
