Wish us luck!!!
Well me and eric (cumminsdriver) tore into my truck the other night. Gonna do a stage 2 ported and oringed head from Power by Poole, 12mm studs, HTT manifold, Helix 2 cam, and have my pump sent off the columbus diesel to be tuned and calibrated. We finally tore into it the other night. Heres a vid of the progress so far. Since the video we've got the head and pump off as well. Gonna put the new cam in tomorrow, hope everything goes smooth

Have fun. Its pretty straight forward but lots to do.
Be careful !!! You might want to jack the rear of the truck up until the block is level if you are changing tappets. I found out the hard way you can drop the string with the plunger down one of the oil return holes and NOT the lifter bore(#6 intake of course ) the worst part is the lifter will pull up it and you wont know until you pull the plunger and try to put the dowel in If you drop a tappet into the oil pan it is possible to fish it out with a magnet if you pull the gear case (ask me how I know LOL) with out dropping the pan.
I am in the final assembly of my Helix II install and its day 3 for me by myself taking my time.
I have used this time to do a lot of jobs that I wanted to do for awhile now, like go thru the starter and do the Larry B upgrade/rebuild the vacuum pump/make new power and ground wires/ 21mm rack plug/fix broken vacuum line to the cruise etc. I still need to time the pump/ change the intake valve springs (cant afford the new head until the fall now) lash the valves and put the front of the truck back on.
