injector, and boost questions

I have been waiting to get my stage 3 jammers put in because I am worried about my EGT's, and my stock tranny. So here are my questions..

1) If I buy this J-Hook Assembly will it help keep my EGT's in check by giving me more boost when injectors are in?

2) Will an aftermarket Valve Body be just enough to hold a box that doesnt tap the wire like an EZ, or XZT + stage 3 jammers?

3) If for some reason I decide to get a Edge Comp, or Edge Drag Comp what are the differences in them besides the price, and can they both be run in EZ mode?

I know people have different ideas of what box is best but the main thing I was wondering was the differences in the Comp and Drag comp.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I have the nozzles and if I run just the injectors, my egt's are not an issue if I don't drive like an idiot. I can pull my #8000 TT up a 1/2 mile grade at 67 mph and won't go over 1180 degrees at 28 boost. I tried to run with my SC on but the tranny couldn't handle it on the hills and would slip the converter. When I'm pulling I just decided to stay with the injectors because it does just fine and will get up any hill around here without kicking out of OD and my egts stay in check. So for now I will just use the SC for code reading. I can't answer you other ???'s because my trans is stock with 152,000 miles on it and still going strong. I guess it just really depends on what shape your tranny is in and what your goals are for the truck.

the j-hook will help performance because it will spool up better and will help egts some but not any great amount i dont think. If you get a GOOD aftermarket vb and tc then it will hold a comp and injectors (as long as you dont do hard launchs or you will start having to worry about shafts). Both the comp and the drag comp can be ran in EZ mode, the main difference is that the drag gives full fuel up to a higher RPM

if you run the j hook w/o a boost fooler or box it is going to toss you a boost code. the drag comp fuels to 3200 the comp to 2700, both can be run in ez mode. your tranny should be ok in ez mode. if you do the nozzles and a comp/drag comp no way in heck is your tranny going to last very long if you are greedy.

As mush as I hate to say it I am going to just get the j hook and XZT, or EZ for boost fooling to go with my injectors till I can do a little work to the tranny.

I know if I get a comp I wont be able to just stay in EZ mode. It might cost more buying two boxes in the long run, but it is better than having to find money for a tranny before I am ready to buy one.

Thanks for the info guys.
