Will the tranny take this.

My buddy has a 98 24v with an auto. I dont know if its a 47 or 48re cause it was replaced in 2000. He has a 50 hp download already. My question is will his tranny take the power increase if he puts a Power Puck on it also. Right now the tranny doesnt slip when he floors it.

It's a 47RE, 48's didn't come out till mid 2003 model year.

Stock tranny can usually handle an EZ or RV injectors, so it might be ok.

My friend has a 2002 with an auto tranny. He has the Edge Juice box and a larger BD Turbo and one of those TransGo Shift Kits... He can slip the tranny, but not unless he is really getting on it, So I would say your friend would be alright for the time being with the PowerPuck...

I ran RV275s and juice with attitude for several monthes without slipping. Now that being said I never went above level 3 on the juice. I did not want to slip the tranny before I rebuilt it. That way I could use the stock clutches for the rebuild. Boy when the rebuild was done I hit level 5 pulling away from the garage.

Be careful when stacking things. Make sure that they both aren't timing boxes. Could lead to timing knock. And his tranny should be able to handle it with ease if he doesn't drive like a maniac.

The Puck is not a timing box, I have one on my truck. The other is a Banks product I wish I knew What it did for the 50 hp gain.

That is not what Diablo says, unless they don't all operate the same.
