Question Will my clutch Hold

I'm getting a Blue Chip APB box next week to stack with my
Van Aaken V5. My question is will my stock clutch hold for awhile
if I don't abuse it. I won't run the APB box on full power and will turn
it off when towing. I just want to have it when empty and want to
fool around 2-3 times a week. I would only "roll on" the throttle
in 4 , 5, and 6th gear. Clutch doesn't slip now, will it after the fueling box ?

The clutch is more likely to slip in a higher gear when boost is built. I can launch my truck with the comp on 5x5 + 130 injectors and wont slip a bit. But if i go to barley accelerate in 4th , 5th, ant 6th, ill slip it like crazy.

My HO clutch started slipping some in 5th and 6th with an EZ and RV 275 injectors in spite of easy, at idle launches. I have never dumped the clutch or had the engine reved up.

I would only run the APB box on the 50HP max setting. I figure that
would put me around 325 - 335 HP. If I still need a clutch , what kind
should I get for towing and smooth engagement , but good holding
power. Do I have to surface the flywheel if I haven't smoked the original
clutch ?

No you won't(50hp max lol), and it will hold for a while, as far as a clutch w/ smooth engaugement and holdin power ask one of these guys with a con ofe, the fe I'm runnin is a little grabby, yes resurface flywheel most clutches if they have a warranty require it

Figured I'd arrervate don't take it to heart lol

See my signature - I'm at 347 RWHP. With just the EZ, I never slipped the stock clutch even when towing our previous 13,500 lb GVWR 5th wheel. However, the stock clutch slipped the day the DD2s went in - running empty in 5th gear and rolling into the throttle at 1800 RPM!

Based on my experience and that of others, you're just about at the borderline, and some stock clutches are better than others. Yours might hold, but don't be surprised if it doesn't!
