there some out there , mine uses a garret center section but with different housing and wheels , the adaptor lets u bolt up T04 style turbo flange (garrett) to the factory manifold , 105$ for one , As for being better than yr 35/40 ,,, depends on who done it some do a little more than others when doing hybrids that garret u posted supports 585 on gas so its going to b low on diesel , compared to that hybrid , u want to make 400 to 600 with a garett look for some thing that flows 79lbs per minute

is it a new dt466 ?? i know the older ones use TO4Es the GT turbos r supposed b nice with the bearings and such , but i dont think yr going to c much diffrence , what is the A/r on the turbine housing ??

heres more info on the garrett
GT40
Compressor Turbine Wheel
HP Displacement Whl Dia. Trim A/R Wh Dia. Trim A/R
370-650 ,3.5-5.0L 82mm 50 .58 77mm 73

if im not mistaken the 40 uses a 60 mm were thats a 50 for the compressor and max is 5.0 liters

Its actually off a 95 model and it just has regular friction type bearings, and I also saw that the one on garretts web was just for 5.0, but p/n didn't match up with any on the website can only figure it is too old, but it does have inducer about 52mm large side bout82mm and exhaust is bout77mm
