White Smoke on Start Up?

This problem started after my Engine rebuild. But I Believe I have a Fuel Leak Down Problem. I have a set of No Name "80 hp" Injectors in rigt now. On a "cold start", not a cold day. Sitting more then 12hrs. It will put out a slight haze of white smoke and if you tap the throttle it will puff the white smoke. Not thick, but a bit more then a haze. It goes away after two minutes of running, either idling or driving it. It smells like fuel near the tailpipe. Is my Cheapo injectors leaking down in the cylinders over that time and Its just burning them off?

Whats Your thoughts?

Thanks
Rick

humm unburned diesel fuel...did you checking the ring gap??? i got a wore out powerstroke that has 230,000 and god knows how many hours and no matter what the air temp it is it will pour white smoke till like you said about three min till the rings warm up and expand and seal off.

heres the reasons for white smoke:
Caused by unburned fuel passing through the engine.
Excessive white smoke could be an indication of loose injectors, low compression from worn rings or bent connecting rods, or coolant leak into the cylinders--head gasket

Is the timing correct on it?
My 94 does the same thing and I wittled the problem down to the p-pump neding to be re-timed.
Does it pop when you gas it on first start up?

hey i had the same problem but my truck would literally cloud a parking lot on a cold start up and would hesitate too and i replaced the injection pump and never did it again so i know thats an exspensive fix but it WAS the problem for me maybe you can work off that

Ring gap was good when the engine was built 3500miles ago, Using no coolant what so ever. that is why I am leading towards fuel problem. The injection pump was tested when the engine was rebuilt and tested fine. I understand there will be some smoke on cold start. But my old engine did not do this.

Have you ever had the injectors tested? It might be worth the money to have them sent out and tested since you said they are no name injectors.

I was going to pick up a set of nozzles and have them installed on my stock bodies and tested.

I have the HRVP44 pump and stage 3 jammer nozzles, and my truck does that also, when it first starts up it will flow a steady haze of whiteish smoke, a buddy told me that white smoke is just same as black its just that your engine is not burning hot enough to make it black, but I dont really think there is anything wrong with it, its all part of pushing more fuel to make more power just my thoughts.
