Where is your pin on the EZ set at?

I have yet to move the pin on my EZ and I was wondering where you guys are putting them (#1,#2, or #3) and what have you gained or lost by moving it? I once read that moving the pin settings changes when it allows full fueling at a specific boost.

I run mine at 3.

All the Time. It allows fueling at lower boost.

Mike

I am in the most aggressive setting. Moving the jumper will not change power output at all. But is will FEEL like you have more power.

In #3, the EZ dumps in max fuel at only 3 psi, and 66% more fuel at 0 boost. This means is takes a lot less pedal to get somewhere.

The flip side to having this aggressive of a setting is that it makes the last inch or so of pedal travel pointless.

When I get dd2s, I will go to the least aggressive setting.

HOHN

Katoom:
If I recall the ez's 3 settings are:
1: timing plus full fuel @ 20psi
2: timing plus full fuel @ 10psi
3: timing plus full fuel @ 3psi

It comes out of the box set at #3 the most aggressive.

I personally switched mine to #2. I noticed that I lost a little mileage (1-2mpg). I figured it was using more fuel everytime I started from a stop. So I switched it #2 and my mileage came back. After I switched I did notice a slight decrease in performance off the line so to speak. I don't drive like a grandma nor do I race. If the extra power afforded me at low boost was what was going to get me out of trouble I should not have pulled out anyway. Now on 2 you are already moving and it takes nothing to build 10lbs and the power is there for passing, getting up the hill or whatever. Just my theory and it works for me.

I have the comp w/o the pump wire, so the in-cab adjustments for me correlate well to the EZ jumpers. I experiment a lot and find that my 6 speed needs the low boost fueling (EZ jumper setting 3). The other levels are just too dog slow to spool up.

When I go off road I either use comp level 1 (less fueling than EZ pin 1) or turn it off. the pedal is just too responsive for rough trails and rocks otherwise.

also, the higher setting gives me the illusion that my fuel economy is better. The truck is getting more fuel than the computer thinks, so the overhead console thing gives me a better number ;D

Mine doesn't even have a jumper. ??? Was told that it would just default to #3 position. Is this correct?

could be, on the older EZ boxes, I don't know. more than likely if there is no choice they built it with the "most responsive" setting, in terms of the later EZs.
