My son purchased a used Edge Drag Comp box as a gift. It is still in the mail so I can't play with it yet. He says that the box is the HOT version. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Hot and regular Drag Comp box? The box will go on my 2001 3500 dually after I uprade the intake and exhaust. I am looking for info prior to installing the box to make sure I am on the right track.

The hot or drag versions of edge boxes will overcome the 2700 rpm defuel.

 

Thought I read somewhere they is a second versions of the Drag Comp just for racing....No?
But, your son probably meant the Drag comp as the hot version of the comp.

if you have the regular comp can you call edge and get it re programmed to the drag comp

 

yeah the drag comp is called the hot comp and the regular one is just called the comp

 

Yes, Send it in for upgrade. Don't know Edges pricing....TST charged me $50.00 to upgrade my PM3 to a comp version... and turned it around the same day! I would expect about the same from Edge...but call them to be sure!
