what turbo

updating my combo, thinking of trying a sps66. also trying out a set of 200hp injector nozzles, talked to the guy that does them and they are supposed to make what they are rated at. I will also be dynoing on them to see how they are and if I can back up his claims or not. anyway, fueling will be bluechip fms, and timing a van aaken. my converter is custom built and uses a 150 rpm lower stator but is 90% efficient so the stall speed should be good for a bigger turbo.

Its gonna be a bit smokey and laggy off the line. Tight converters and big turbos arent made for each other. I drove around for a while with a real tight converter and 66/71/14. Couldnt even pull a hill in od unless i was doin 90 with out pegging the pyro. Id try 62/74/14 if i was doin it again.

the converter is very efficient but has a relatively high stall speed. think of it like it only stalls 150 rpm lower than stock but anything above that it feels locked. its like a 2000-2200 stall speed wot

Talking

just going by what i have read and the guys i have talked to on the phone i think you should go with a 62/71/14 or a 64/71/14 i think that the 66 is gonna be big and hard to spool, once you got her lit though you better hold on

I think a 62 is to small for that much fuel. maybe the 64 71/14. I was thinking the regular ps 66 or sps because it has a smaller exhaust

the bd super b special is what i am going to run on my truck with mach 6's i am hoping to have one soon, as for christmas i hope i think it would work ok for you. the 62 coould be too small for you, most guys say that if you tow alot that a 64 is just a little too big.

Im just tryin to help you out. I know there are as many hills in ct as pa, and if you daily drive around hills the 66 will stink. When your tranny is locked up in overdrive, how often are you cruising at 2200+ rpm. I have to take every hill and mountain pass in 3rd locked up screamin at 2500+ rpm just to hold 1100+ egts. The 647114 will be much better suited.
