I have an Edge comp chip on my 2002. i am looking into programers. what programmer should i get and does it work to stack a chip and programer together. please help me on this.

 

I think most of the people on here are going to tell you to go with the smarty. I have heard good reviews about it. I think the price is around 600.

Smarty all the way. Your truck will feel like a turd when you put the stock program back on...even with the Comp on it'll feel like a turd.

So Getblown5.9 came over to my store tonigh and let me try the Smarty.
He's like just put it on #8. Take it for a spin.
Holly smooly, i smoked out the parkin lot and took off like a bat outta h.
that thing is unbelieveable, i had my comp on 3x5.
I just can't get one until i get a real tranny to handle the power.
Under lite throttle there was so much power, goin about 30 and givin 1/2 throttle i think the back duals broke loose.
I WANT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the difference between the Smarty is like having the Comp on and stock, it's that much power.

ok on that smarty what does it mean that is doesn't asvance the timing. what settings do you want to on. like if i was driving down the road. and then if drag racing.

 

You can only run one form of timin.

For you it's the comp because you can't turn the timin off, it's made into the box. The smarty will add more (alot more down low) and add the catcher. I really don't understand what the catcher is but I finally rode in a truck with a smarty and man it worth every penny.

 

I think that on the Smarty that if you already have a timing box, Like Comp then you should only run the even numbers.
I know it blew me away with the power it gave my truck set on #8 w/ comp on 3x5.
I didn't believe all the hype but now

now would you go with a smartys programer or go with 120hp injectors
