What HP range....

Well I'm getting a suncoast trans in about 2 weeks and I plan on getting some BD 150hp nozzles and then an s300g from turbosupply. My question is what kinda HP would I be looking at? Also I was told that if I went with that large of a nozzle that I would need to inlarge my fuel gallery. Would I benefit more by just getting the whole injector? Also would I come closer to their advertised HP of 150 by gettin the complete injector?

I'm not sure but you oughta be right up there with me. I haven't dynoed with the bd 155's yet though. The numbers in my sig were with 100hp injectors.

Congrats on the trans. Mine's in 3 weeks.

Thanks BB. I know you've been waiting for a trans just as long as I have.

Are you running there complete injector or nozzles?

Complete injector. I don't really believe in the whole nozzle thing (I know I'm gonna get flamed for that). They work and probably will last just as long as a full injector but I sleep better at night knowing that I've got the full injector.

Yeah I know what you mean.

I was just a little curious that when one of my buddies on Compdiesel told me that if I where to run an injector that large that I would need to enlarge the fuel gallery on my stock injector. I can see how that would hurt the flow and all, so I'll probably end up going with a complete stage 5 injector. Who has the best deal on those suckers?

Oh and do yall think that s300g will cool EGTs enough? I believe there good for about 400-475hp right?

I have no idea what he means by fuel gallery but I ain't changed nothing on mine other than fuel lines and lift pump. The over sized connector tubes kill the driveability and aren't worth it at all.

Ought to. My ksb-1 is over worked right now. I can peg 1500* with the TST on 4 by 70mph. With it on 9 I can peg it by 55mph. And that's with a stock tranny that never loads the engine. I can't wait to get the DTT in and see how high they go.

Well guys I know what injectors I'm getting some BD 150hp injectors, not nozzles. Also I'm dropping my truck of at Jeff Garmon's shop tuesday for a suncoast tranny.

So yall think I'll be in the 430 range with S300g, 150 sticks, and a Comp box.

I'm going to send the Comp back for a drag upgrade as soon as I save up some cash.

ill say you should be 430-450. i had 150 sticks, a comp box, and big laggy hx55 not wanting to spool on the dyno and i made 448/821 (low tq due to low boost at low rpms where the tq should peak) with the S300 you should have tq over 900.

and the drag upgrade is nice, fuels hard right to 3300rpms. no more HO increase but more top end drivability. mine lasted 3 weeks tho before it killed the electronics on my VP44.

With that size of an injector, I would probably go with a bigger turbo to ensure that your EGT gauge and your head doesn't hate you for it.

Our new Super B Special would be a great turbo match in a single for what you have there. The power you will be making with the Drag comp might be working the S300 a little harder than it likes. The Special is capable of supporting 550hp with great throttle response.

Yeah I don't plan on upgrading to the drag comp unitill I get the turbo. Heck I may just stick with the comp for a while since I'm dropping so much money into this tranny, injectors and soon to be turbo. But I do plan on getting a turbo around xmas time. I just can't afford one of the super b's or HTT turbo's. I can fully rebuilt s300g that has the same warranty as a new one for around 600 bucks. Plus I gotta buy a new downpipe too. I think I just need to start playing the lottery....
