What flows more air? Super B or HX40

I am curious what turbo will flow more air, the Super B or the HX40? I understand the Super B will spool better and is stronger but from striclty an air flow point of view I am curious whcih one moves more air. Thanks

Don,
In which way (in your opinion) does the Super B achieve more boosted air flow than the HX40?

I heard that the super B flows something like 780cfm, while an HX40 (depending which compressor is used) flows in the mid 800's. I lost 20hp by switching from a DD 40 to the super B. FWIW.

The 40 is mapped in the low 700's. The newest and greatest 40 wheel in the VGT turbo will move more. The HP loss could have been form a tight turbine side.

If we are talking about which turbo will move more air on the compressor side, that goes to the Super B.

The turbine side might be a different story.

Mike,
Which one did you prefer as an all around daily driver turbo? Did the Super B spool-up noticably better than the 40?
Thanks.

As far as flow I have read a few different advertised numbers for the Super B. The highest I have seen was 900CFM but I have also seen 750CFM advertised for the same turbo. I wasn't sure which was true thats why I decided to ask. I was always under the impression that the 40 flowed a maximum of 800CFM .

Rhino,
The super B did spool a little faster than the 40. But it was also a bit warmer on the top-end. If I had to pick one it would be the 40. It spools pretty good, makes more power, and runs cooler on top.

Don,
The two 40 maps I have show mass flow of about 83lb/min, and 88lb/min. BD told me the super B flows 780cfm. To check my conversion, what numbers do you use?

Ok so it appears that maybe the Super B may not yield quite the cooling of a 40 and maybe not quite the HP but it is a better daily driver.

I am considering the Super B (over the 40) or a Dodgezilla HX35/40 Hydrid with a 14cm WG'd housing. I want a good daily driver/tower with a pretty decent increase in cooling over the stock HX35/12. My turbo purchase will someday be the top turbo in my twins setup and I think either of these would make a good choice.

At this time I am leaning toward the Super B.

Thanks again for the info

If you are looking for quick spool-up, and are going to use it in a future compound setup, I would go with the super B. Just my opinion.
