What do ya'll think? new intake

this is a intake that I made a while back for a friend. I used a AFE Pro Guard 7 fillter.

Looks good! My friend made one that looks just like that one....I was thinking of doing the same on my rig. Nice work.

Awsome work man!!! Did you use some kind of bender to bend in the angles, or are they welded? My friend did his like that, but didnt turn out near as good looking as yours!!! Looks Good!

Thanks. I bent it by hand and welded the bottom. I plan to redesighn it to block more heat. Now it is a lot like the AFE intake. I have made a few out of 14ga steel but like this better.

Looks awesome man, I would put a rubber "bumper" over the edge. Knowing me even though I would know its there I'd cut myself on the edge lol.

look good! i wish i had a custom one of a kind intake like that! maybe i will fab one up to. did you mid or tig it? you said it was steel right? any pics of the welds?

Thanks. Its aluminium. I have made some steel. I have tried to find the kind of rubber that most intakes use but no luck. I plan to make one that blocks off even more heat.

if any of you know a plumbing and heating guy or any type of ventilation guy they usually can fab up some sweet stuff at there shops with the presses they use to make duct work and what not
