I am looking to buy the black cloud 7" miters and ive been thinking about downpipes also. On the main page I once saw a link for the ceramic coated wide mouth 4 inch, well I think that I read somewhere that if I do swap turbos in the future that I will not be able to use that downpipe anymore. What is the reason? Is there a better downpipe to buy? and is there one compatable for other turbos?

 

well, not all turbo's are gonna have the same exhaust flange, nor the exact same mounting configuration. generaly downpipes are specific to a single turbo..or a series of similar turbos.

 

The megamouth is for your stock turbo and most aftermarket turbos use a hx40 downpipe.

 

what kind of turbo do I have? I have been trying to read up to learn more specifics. Is it the hx35 or something like that?

 

If your truck is stock its an HX35.
