non ic downpipe vs ic downpipe w/shield

Hey guys, I need a new downpipe for my 91 non ic cummins stock turbo. I'm looking online for one and see that the ic downpipe comes with a small heat sheild.

Is that the only difference in the two? Can I use the heatshielded one on my truck without any other problems?
