There's one in the dtr classifieds, but I'm not sure if it'd work

dont worry about it. its for a 5 speed, youve got a 6 speed. It wont work.

has to be model, year, and trans specific

they are transmission specific. i put the one on dads truck (5spd) on my truck (6spd) to try to find the cure to my limp mode.

Maybe the 5 and 6 spds but auto to 6spd works great. My buddy's truck ran like a violated monkey with that MAD ECM on there.

Too me it would have to be only model year specific and tranny type would not matter. I only say this because of those that have swapped from 5 to 6 speeds and not needing to change the ecm. I could be totally wrong here. Just was wondering also.

For an auto you would have to have one built for an auto seeing as how the automatic is controlled by it but for a stick I don't see where the difference would be.

blackdiesel, maybe it had something to do with the MAD ECM. I dunno. All I know is that we installed it on his truck and it ran flawlessly.
