void warranty

I got a lift pump relocation kit from Vulcan and was planning on moving the lift pump to the frame by the tank with larger fuel line size all the way to the injector pump. Does anyone know off hand if this will void my warranty?

Thanks

It all depends on your dealer. I would venture to say if your VP goes out that most dealers would blame it on a non-stock lift pump, you'd be out of luck.

Ain't this just sorry, make an obvious improvement for the sake of VP longevity and have to worry about the dealer givin' you a hard time about it.
I guess you could take the relocated pump off and reconnect to the original lift pump & plumbing in the event of VP trouble.

I'd check around with different dealers. The dealers around where I live said if I put a pusher pump in it would void my warrenty They said no fuel pumps, bigger lines or tapping wires. So I'm waiting til my warrenty runs out, in four years! I only have 37,000 miles on the truck and I have a co truck to drive for work! I guesss I have to wait for injecters.

Check first, I don't want to void warrenty.

I agree with MadDog01.

Just hang loose and stock up you toyz so when the warranty come due you can start dumping it on to the truck.

I look at this was I'm spending my time now fixing all the little flaws the Cummins and DC have on my truck so when its time to BOMB it going to be ready for it.

I've only got 38K miles left to go and warranty is gone. I'm driving about 22K a year so I still got till about the end of next summer on the warranty and then it's BOMBing TIME!

I wouldn't take the chance shopping around for a dealer who won't void the warranty. Once the first one finds out there is a modification they'll enter it in their computer, then all the dealers will know.

I would ask your local service mgr! I talked to my guys, in the beginning, and told them I was adding a few things (like improved fuel feed). Got them to say they would cover anything I had not messed with, too seriously....which they have done.

Warrantty work puts money in their pocket, so they should be on your side, whenever possible...if treated well!

I've got the same issue. My plan is to leave the stock lift pump in place on the engine (mine is weak) and install a new one back at the tank. Plug all the existing unused fuel lines. Use the vulcan setup with all new fuel line and throw the banjo's in the tool box. If a warranty issue arises just reinstall the stock goodies and warranty the truck. It's too bad that the warranty issue gets in the way of making the truck more reliable but from the dealers viewpoint they don't know if you are using good technique (making sure all the air is out of the lines before you start the truck etc) or not. I asked my dealer before I did anything on my truck and got a different story depending on which service manager I spoke with!!

Barry, I might be over in your garage, but I won't be putting those injecters in, YOU WILL! I want to make sure it's done right, so I want the best Mach. I know to do the job. And that's the BEAR And another thing, why don't you quit messin around and just BOMB that beast of yours I know within the next year I won't even be able to see your tail lights through the smoke and fire When you get to Wash. look for a spot for us then we can bomb together.
