Valve body install

I am planning on doing a BD valve body this weekend as soon as i get my new 10000# Rotary lift installed SAt.
Is it really necessary to take the pressure readings & shift points before hand, if so how did you get the pressure readings?

You should measure the pressure with a pressure gauge and a long hose (say about 8 feet or even longer). There are, I believe, 3 ports on the passenger's side of the tranny that you tap into. Each one serves a different purpose. Measuring the pressures helps set up the VB properly and make sure you don't have any internal leaks.
