VA Issues

My Check engine light stays on and it seems as if I dont have the full power of the chip, I still have major turbo lag and my low end just seems the same, now going about 80 on the freeway the truck was a monster, I am thinking something isnt plugged in all the way but I am not sure. And what is the little orange this for that is right next to the main connector on the harness, it doesnt say in the instructions!!! Thx. CJ

It sounds like the VA isn't running right. I would give them a call and see what they say. You may have to send it in to get reprogrammed to have it work right. The orange things on the connectors are locks. When you have the connectors attached you need to push the orange thing in to help lock the connectors shut. You might want to try this before calling VA, it could be that the connectors aren't staying connected.

I had the same problem when I first hooked up my
van Aaken V5. Turns out I didn't have the MAP connector
from the van Aaken pushed all the way in for a good
connection. Reconnected and cleared the codes at Autozone
and no problems for the last 9 months. The extra orange/black
plung on the van Aaken is for the optional on / off switch.

Everythings fixed. After I turned the truck off and just sat around thinking for a little bit, then decided to start it again, and i had no codes or anything, and the check engine light went off as well, so now I am set, and it seems that there is a considerable amount of power now! Its great. thats all there is to say. I love it and goes VROOM. Thanks for the input guys.
