US Gear D-Celerator E brake, anyone have one?

I Have been looking at getting a remote Exhaust brake and the D-cellerator seems like a good product after reading some reviews. More for 2 main reasons, remote mounted (not on the turbo) and its electrically actuated.

I was wondering if anyone here has one and what they think of it..

Cheers..

D-delerator brake

I have read that their solenoids rust out and they draw 80 amps to activate. That turned me off of one.

Well for starters it never activated or deactivated when it should he would adjust the throttle switch one day and the next day it would need it again.
The off on switch was a push button and I thank it was the cheapest switch they could get and no it could not be changed.
As for the brake it's self it was extremely loud.
Compared with the pac he has and the jake he had this brake had little holding power.

As for wanting electric my brake is vac powered and dads came with its own little compressor both work with out flaws.

I've got one, but I have an air operated one where the application is like a 8.3L buss.

It seems to work fine for me, although I have just a toggle switch to activate the solenoid valve so it opens and closes whenever I want. The one thing I don't like is that the pneumatic actuator rattles at idle.

Not doubting what you say, I would just like to know what exactly makes the pac better then the us gear?

Durability, good people to deal with, flawless operation. At 11,000 lbs on a 8% hill fifth gear mine held at 1500 rpm. All the way to the bottom, and it is the older model not the PRXB.

I called PacBrake and they were more than happy to answer my questions. Sounds like a good product.

the electronics slam it shut and makes lots of noise and the factory provided switch is a joke constantly going out of ajustment. I now have it working better ...with a pac/brake switch set up. the brake itself holds back very well .
