TWINS ??? Which Ones And Why?
Hey All,
I'm going to be getting twins when ever I leave for my next deployment. My questions is what set up would you go with? I'm going to have all my head work done. I'm not going to hold anything back. But I drive this truck everyday. I want something that can make 600 Hp+ with the comp on 5x5. I have the truck set up to take twins. I have the FASS 150 pump. The con fe clutch from south bend. 5'' exhaust. All the the truck will need is head work and twins. Now what would you guys do? I'm not to worried about money. But I don't want to spend 7 G's on this. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

As suggested above....that would be top end twins (62 0ver an S4000). Talk to RIP at Source automotive about what's needed. He can steer you right...

I've been wanting to make some twins that were "off the beaten path", so to speak.
Namely, dual ball-bearing chargers.
Right now, I'm thinking Garrett GT37 over GT42, but there are other ways to build twins.

My truck is a 02 HO. Looks like most of you guys are saying the same thing as far as 64/14 over s4000. But I also like what Hohn threw in to the mix with the Garrett combo. I'm not going to be towing anything heavy, maybe a 24' enclosed trailer with a race car every now and then. Oh yeah my truck is also lifted 5" with 35's. These twins would also be complemented with Mach 6injectors. Well anyway thanks for the input so far.

Thinking outside the box is always worth considering... and especially reguarding Holset. But I don't understand reinventing the wheel? The R&D has been done by many and even poorly matched Holset, home grown, twins have been proven superior to a big singles. When everyone raves about their brand of twin setup .... that should tell you it's hard to make a mistake. I personally never cared (in theory) for a stock HX-35 over an S400. But having driven one, I will say it worked great at 500 hp! (the 35 had not even had the waste gate opened up, but it did have a 14cm turbine housing added)
I just don't see the need for experimentation in this area...... unless it's just for the sake of trying something new! Also, JMO.
