Well I finally got my twins on. I was running a Super B special with 370s and decided to put on twins so that I could tow. When we pulled out the head bolts to do the studs we realized we had some big problems due to seeing some (a lot) rust on the bolts and being able to hear compression release. After that we pulled the head, the gasket was blown, so we machined the head and had it O-ringed, put in a marine head gasket. Got rid of the 370's and put in DDP 4's some 60lb valve springs got an ATS exhaust manifold and mounted the twins. Just got the motor a lil warm this afternoon and will do a re tq tomorrow morning. Should be a running lil beast.

 

Should run nice, where did you get all the piping from? Was running the same turbo you were, and really thinking of doing the same twins you did...

I know a guy with a very similar setup.... it runs GREAT and egts are easy to keep in check. Nice build.

 

The tubing was made by the guy I bought the setup from. With a great pipe bender it wouldn't be too hard to do. Just did my 2nd re tq on the studs and took it out and feathered it to 25lbs of boost and she just screams with very little smoke, and yes EGTs are very controllable. I will do my 3rd re tq next week and bring it to the dyno to do some tuning.
