Question Twins???

Was wondering what you all think would be the best set up to run with our existing HTT 62/71/13 on our 2001 Cummins? As it stands now, there is a HTT 62/71/13, Mach 6's, Smarty, Edge Comp Hot, Southbend ConFE, SO VP44, Volant cold air and BD Intercooler??? Also, where's the best place to get a nice twin set up? I PM'd Nathan @ MPI but he must be swamped. Thanks...

You can buy all the parts you need individually from source automotive, there are other places that will sell everything minus the turbo you have. Put a s400 under that and you will be happy.

Dodgediesel, you could just put a S475 under it or a BTH-3B or a K-31 under it. Its just welding buddy. If you want to really see what those 6's can do you could try a 480, but then its more race. A S475/1.32 turbine would been the perfect. Modify the wastegate some, and add some nos. You should be hitting pretty hard numbers. Around 650 rwhp on fuel and 900 rwhp on giggles. The trick is to get enough fuel into the cylinders. I was busting the tires loose when the 3B kicked in. Fun drive on the wash boards hiways we have. I had to see if I could put the speedo into the red. Kinda scary fish tailing at 80 mph. Makes me feel alive.

I'll have nice set-up on the go, a garrett 3788r over a S475. I've tweaked both turbos some. Currently, I'm running a 3782r over a BTH-3B, its almost perfect. I might need to get the S362 off him to build-up. Source would have most of the parts on the shelf for a S400 series twins. Downpipe and air pipes, depends if your in a hurry. I can find turbos for you. The small parts is killer part on these twins. I can help there. You have friends that weld, so its pretty easy. Just depends on what he wants to do.

True enough. He wants to utilize his HTT 62/71/13 SS turbo in the twin setup to save some money as it's a pretty wicked turbo...

If you want the best turbo, I would use a GT4508R or a turbonetics
Y2K/thumper. Just food for thought. A S480 is more expensive, but more turbo than a S475.

I rather spend the money on the secondary, as its does the work of getting things working. I had to tease abit.
